It’s hard to believe we’re halfway through 2025! The 7/1 rush is behind us (we made it!), and we’re hoping some of that slower summer rhythm is just around the corner. Over the past few months, our team has been on the move hosting events, attending conferences, and strengthening relationships with brokers across the country. We’ve had great conversations, built new connections, and are excited for what’s ahead.

As we look toward the rest of the year, we’ve got even more planned to bring us together. As always, our Business Development team is just a call or email away when you need us. In the meantime, here’s a quick update with highlights from the second quarter and a look at where we’re headed next.

Coming This August: Our Inaugural Broker Education Event in NYC

We’re excited to host our inaugural Broker Education Event, “Elevate Your Specialty—Strategies for Success in the Healthcare Insurance Market,” in New York City this August. This two-day invitation-only event is designed to give brokers a competitive edge in today’s dynamic healthcare insurance market.

Led by our leadership, business development, and underwriting teams, attendees will explore a range of interactive sessions and panels covering:

  • Elevating Excellence: Lessons in Leadership and Growth
  • Industry Trends and Emerging Risks
  • Leveling Up: Skills for Success in Insurance
  • Financial Literacy for Brokers: Understanding Financial Statements
  • Building a Personal Brand as a Broker

In addition to gaining valuable insights, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with peers and industry leaders throughout the event, culminating in a private dinner cruise around Manhattan, offering a relaxed atmosphere to foster new connections and enjoy the iconic city skyline.

This event has already generated strong interest, and we’re excited to bring this vision to life. Our goal is to make this a recurring series, reinforcing our long-term commitment to broker development and industry excellence.

Life Sciences 101: Increase Your Expertise with Specialized Broker Training

Early in 2025, we launched our second specialty training session, “Life Sciences 101,” to excitement and success. Tailored for brokers newer to this space or not primarily focused on Life Sciences, this training covers topics from coverages to key theories of liability, and everything in between. Although it's thorough and comprehensive, it's easily digestible and allows brokers to gain a clear understanding of how products completed operations liability coverage differs from traditional medical malpractice. Life Science risks are complex, and our goal is to enhance brokers' knowledge and confidence in navigating this rapidly evolving product landscape.

Big Hearts and Bigger Impact: Community Giving at TDC Specialty

The TDC Specialty Charitable Contributions Committee is dedicated to making a meaningful impact by supporting nonprofit organizations that address critical social determinants of health. Our mission includes fostering partnerships with organizations that promote economic stability, healthcare access, education, and community well-being. These efforts align with our commitment to improving the communities where our employees live and work.

By combining objective analysis with subjective insights, the Committee selects organizations that embody our values and demonstrate measurable impact. Beyond financial contributions, we also actively encourage volunteerism among employees.
