Broker Insights & Updates: Your Third Quarter 2026 Recap
As we head into the final quarter of 2026, it’s remarkable how quickly the summer came and went. The third quarter gave us plenty of opportunities to connect with brokers and industry partners, continue important conversations, and build on the relationships that matter most to our business. Thank you for continuing to engage with our team in meaningful ways, creating opportunities to strengthen relationships, deepen respect, and foster mutual success.
With year-end and 1/1 on the horizon, we know the pace will only pick up. Our underwriters are ready to be a resource for you and welcome the opportunity to collaborate in person. If there are pipeline discussions you’d like to have, let’s schedule time to connect. Having our underwriters on site with you can help ease your workload, and we value the opportunity to work alongside you. We believe the best results come from early and consistent engagement.
We also recognize that The Doctors Company’s acquisition of ProAssurance remains top-of-mind, and we want to ensure that information is easily accessible to you. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our ProAssurance FAQs for helpful information about the acquisition and what it means for you and your clients. As always, our Business Development team is just a call or email away. In the meantime, here’s a look back at highlights from the third quarter and a few insights from the team.
Healthcare Consultants E&O Highlight
In today's healthcare environment, even the most experienced consultants can face allegations that a recommendation, review, administrative service, or professional judgment contributed to a loss.
Our Healthcare Consultants Professional Liability Policy is designed to address the unique risks faced by a broad range of healthcare consulting professionals. Eligible businesses include organizations providing managed care–adjacent services such as enrollment processing, plan and care navigation, care management, utilization review, population health management, and network development, as well as businesses offering expert witness services, repricing and coding consulting, and patient advocacy services.
A key strength of the policy is its flexibility. We can often customize the definition of professional services to better align with an insured's unique operations, while recognizing that coverage remains subject to underwriting guidelines and policy limitations.
With customizable protection designed for the evolving healthcare industry, Healthcare Consultants Professional Liability coverage helps clients confidently focus on delivering the expertise their customers depend on most. If you are interested in learning more or believe you have risks that fit our appetite, we will be happy to discuss potential solutions to meet your clients’ needs. Please contact our Business Development team.
Inside The Vitals: Turning Data into Risk Reduction
For most hospitals, the problem isn't a lack of data, but rather turning that data into timely, practical insights that help to support better risk management decisions. The Vitals is designed to help meet this need. Developed by Healthcare Risk Advisors, a member of TDC Specialty, the platform supports a collaborative approach with insureds to create dashboards that align with their data, priorities, and risk management needs. Since its launch in 2024, the platform continues to evolve based on feedback from users, ensuring new capabilities align with the questions healthcare leaders are asking most. For example:
- Are we different from our peers?
- Where are we carrying relatively more risk?
- What’s actually driving those outcomes?
- And what are we doing about it? Can our data show how to get ahead of our highest-exposure areas?
Through The Vitals, insureds can access dashboards to benchmark themselves against a peer group, explore clinical trends (e.g., allegations), examine provider-level malpractice profiles, and access key performance indicators tailored for senior executives. These dashboards are designed to complement each other so insureds can more easily leverage their data to gain meaningful insights to inform their risk management conversations.
For eligible insureds, The Vitals is included at no additional cost. If you have questions or would like to learn more, please reach out to our Business Development team.

Elevating the Next Generation of Brokers
Building on the success of last year’s event, we welcomed a small group of early-career brokers to New York City in July for our second annual TDC Specialty Broker Education Event, “Elevate Your Specialty: Strategies for Success in the Healthcare Insurance Market.”
Over two days, attendees heard from TDC Specialty leaders through engaging panels, insightful presentations, and candid conversations. This year, the hands-on case study quickly became a highlight for participants, as they had the opportunity to apply what they had learned to real-world scenarios. It sparked thoughtful discussion, encouraged collaboration, and brought a new level of energy to the program. The event concluded with a scenic dinner cruise around Manhattan, where attendees had the chance to enjoy incredible views of the city together.
We’re proud to see this event continue to develop and create opportunities for the next generation of brokers to learn, connect, and grow. We’re already looking forward to next year! Reach out to Courtney Gillespie if there are early-career brokers on your team that you think should be considered for next year’s event.
Industry Dialogue in Action: A Highlight from the Aon National Healthcare Conference
This past quarter, we were proud to participate as a Platinum Sponsor at Aon’s National Healthcare Conference, joining industry leaders and colleagues for thoughtful conversations about the evolving healthcare landscape.
Steve Lubinsky, SVP & Segment Lead, Hospitals and Health Systems, participated on the panel, “Changing Dynamic of Healthcare Delivery and Impact on Underwriting Expectations,” where he shared his perspective on today’s changing healthcare risk landscape and its implications for underwriting expectations. Throughout the conference, we enjoyed connecting with colleagues, exchanging ideas, and engaging in conversations about the future of healthcare insurance.
We appreciate Aon for bringing together such an engaged group of industry leaders and for the opportunity to be part of these important discussions.
